What is Refute It Ministries?
The simple answer is, we're believers that desire the purity of scripture. We serve, worship, and follow the creator the way he wishes us to worship and follow him.
As believers, we must be on guard, because there has always been and continue to be men and women in the world that have taken it upon themselves to speak and teach about things Christ and the Bible do not affirm. So, we feel it's time to REFUTE all the false doctrines, errors, delusions, and heresies impacting the church. That's why we created the REFUTEIT website.
We test every doctrine we study by the Bible (The word of God). We look at both sides of an argument to determine who is speaking the truth and who is speaking error. We dig deep, and we study every verse, word use, and context of a message. We judge a doctrine to see if it fits the character and nature of God as revealed by the scriptures. We use common sense and proper methods of biblical interpretation. We consider history, archaeology, prophetic text, textual criticism, and miracles in the Bible to uncover the truth. We discern the difference between literal text and allegorical text. Most of all, we pray and ask for God's guidance.
We don't care how old a doctrine is. It can be a newly invented teaching or one taught for centuries. If a teaching/doctrine is wrong, then it's wrong, and should be labeled false teaching. We're not obligated to follow denominational doctrines because we're an independent ministry. We support what the Bible affirms to be true and will uphold and defend that truth.
